Facts

* The success or failure of the 8-Bit Japanese version would have determined the fate of Square, hence the name Final Fantasy.
* A few graphics were redrawn in the 8-Bit USA release and in the 8-Bit Final Fantasy I and II Japanese re-release.
* The MSX2 version was published by MicroCabin.
* Final Fantasy i has a monthly cost of 525 yen (including tax), except in the P900i and P900iV models because the game comes pre-installed with no monthly fee.
* Final Fantasy EZ has a monthly cost of 525 yen (including tax).
* Square considered releasing Final Fantasy as a Famicom Mini title, but decided to release it as part of Final Fantasy I・II Advance instead.
* In 2001, Hironobu Sakaguchi stated that Garland was his favorite villain of all the Final Fantasy games.
